ProSafe has been specially developed to prevent and improve benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH), the benign enlargement of the prostate gland and prostatic carcinogenesis, prostate cancer in men.
In the West prostate cancer strikes one in 11 men. However, in Asia the incidence of the disease is much lower and a good deal slower in developing. Asian populations tend to eat more soy products than western ones and it has been found that Japanese men have higher blood plasma concentrations of soy isoflavones than western men, this maybe one of the reasons why their life expectancy is four or five years longer than men living in the USA.
Saw palmetto is a fruit rich in fatty acids and phytosterols and has shown to be effective in the treatment of BPH.

Why is Prosafe Better?
Just as soy isoflavones and other soy phytochemicals maybe able to help women fight breast cancer, they are also able to help men stave off or at least survive prostate cancer.Soy or soya contains at least eight known classes of anti-cancer and cell anti-proliferation components. These include the protease inhibitors, phytates, phytosterols, saponins, phenolic acids, omega 3 fatty acids, phospholipids (lecithin) and phytoestrogen isoflavones. These are all present in ProSafe but not in all the commonly available soy isoflavone pills and capsules.
Antioxidants
Antioxidants in soy, tomatoes, red wine and tea as well as certain minerals such as zinc and selenium are necessary to control oxidative reactions in the body. The growth and development of abnormal pre-neoplastic cells (Preceding the formation of any benign or malignant condition) also involve oxidation reactions. To prevent and improve BPH or carcinogenic conditions the use of estrogen like hormone modulators combined with antioxidants is required.
